
Navy regulations are rather descriptive concerning full size medal wear, there is not much interpretation involved.
Wear full size medals on these uniforms only.
Large Medals are worn on the service coat or jumper of Full Dress Blues and Full Dress White.
Rows will only be three wide.
A maximum of three medals may be worn side by side in a single row with no overlap.
There is a maximum of 5 medals per row.(See table below)
Arrange four or more medals (maximum of five in a single row) following the layout in Table 5-3-1.

Devices are mounted horizontally unless they are covered by overlap.
When medals overlap, wear all devices centered on the visible portion of the suspension ribbons. If all attachments are not visible after moving to the left , they may be worn vertically.
Use large oak leaf clusters.
Wear the large oak leaf on large medals and regular size on the ribbons.
